Komodifikasi Kecerdasan Buatan dalam Karya Sinematografi: Refleksi Budaya Populer dan Tren Kontemporer

Penelitian ini mengkaji komodifikasi kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam budaya populer, dengan menganalisis cara film dan media massa menggambarkan AI serta dampaknya terhadap persepsi publik di tengah lonjakan penggunaan AI generatif saat ini. Menggunakan pendekatan kritis, artikel ini menganalisis representasi AI dalam film Forbidden Planet, AI: Artificial Intelligence, dan I, Robot, serta beberapa karya sinematografi lainnya. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan karya sinematografi seperti film telah mengubah AI menjadi narasi konsumtif yang memengaruhi cara masyarakat memandang teknologi, sekaligus memperkuat logika pasar melalui budaya populer. Selain itu, tren kontemporer seperti penggunaan ChatGPT, Gemini, dan DALL·E menunjukkan bagaimana AI generatif muncul sebagai kelanjutan dari imajinasi budaya populer yang telah lama dibentuk melalui karya-karya sinematografi di media. Narasi AI dipersepsikan sebagai masa depan yang tak terhindarkan, yang merupa menjadi solusi teknologi universal hingga menjadi sebuah ketergantungan teknologi. Studi ini berkontribusi pada studi komunikasi dengan menyoroti peran budaya populer sebagai industri ideologis dan konsumtif dalam pengembangan teknologi.
