REPRESENTASI BUDAYA MINUM KOPI DALAM GAME VISUAL NOVEL COFFEE TALK

Game merupakan salah satu bentuk dari karya desain yang semakin berkembang seiring dengan perkembangan keilmuan desain dan teknologi. Telah begitu banyak game dikembangkan dengan perancangan karakter yang semakin menarik, alur cerita yang semakin inovatif, gaya permainan yang semakin variatif, tampilan visual yang semakin baik dan sistem permainan yang semakin beragam. Bermain game telah menjadi kebiasaan dan bahkan kebutuhan berbagai lapisan generasi dan semua kalangan masyarakat. Game sebagai bagian dari media massa mampu merepresentasikan sebuah nilai ataupun sudut pandang, membentuk pemahaman dan pengertian dengan membangun, menyampaikan dan mengulang berbagai kontruksi makna. Game visual novel Coffee Talk membentuk dan merepresentasikan fenomena budaya minum kopi sebagai narasi utama, hadir di saat yang tepat seiring dengan semakin berkembangnya budaya ini baik di dunia maupun Indonesia sendiri. Karena itulah, penelitian ini akan memaparkan representasi fenomena budaya minum kopi yang dibentuk dalam game Coffee Talk. Dilakukan untuk menghasilkan suatu uraian dan gambaran yang mendalam mengenai elemen-elemen yang digunakan dalam representasi tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa game Coffee Talk mampu merepresentasikan fenomena budaya minum kopi dengan baik, melalui narasi, gameplay, karakter, visual background, background music (bgm) dan game athmosphere yang dibentuk berdasarkan realita.
